Bringing the Rolex Spirit of Exploration and Adventure

The Rolex Land-Dweller is in good company. Rolex already has a history of producing watches for divers, businesspeople, and adventurers alike.

For example, the Submariner is a legendary diver’s watch produced in 1953 with guaranteed water resistance of 300 meters. It remains the archetype of diving watches. The Rolex Explorer was made the same year as a robust and elegant tool watch to commemorate the 1953 Everest ascent. It features a range of advanced capabilities designed for accuracy in extreme conditions.

Let’s also not forget the Sea-Dweller, a heavy-duty diving watch designed for extended underwater missions, like saturation diving. It has many incredible features, like an automatic helium escape valve and luminous hour markers.

Tradition Meets Innovation

Most watch collectors admire the traditional attributes of early Rolex. As new models are released, advancements are celebrated, but any classic features from previous Rolex models tend to steal the show.

The Rolex Land-Dweller is a beautiful blend of heritage meets modern luxury, from the oyster bracelet all the way through to the precious metal materials.

Materials

The materials featured in the Land-Dweller depend on the variant you choose to buy. There is an Oystersteel and white gold ‘White Rolesor’ variant, an 18kt Everose gold variant, and 950 platinum with an ice-blue dial. Some of the precious metal versions also have trapeze-cut diamond bezels and baguette diamond markers.

Rest assured, function is just as important as style. It doesn’t matter which variant you choose; they are all waterproof to 100 meters.

Movement and Regulating System

If movement is important to you as a passionate Rolex collector, you’re bound to be impressed with the movement feature of the Land-Dweller. It features a brand-new automatic movement developed explicitly for the Land-Dweller. It’s visible through a striking sapphire caseback.

It’s also worth noting that the oscillator for this model runs at 5 Hz, which improves chronometric stability. This is a first for Rolex. Despite the high frequency, the Caliber 7135 delivers 66 hours of power reserve.

Case, Bracelet, and Finishes

Perhaps one of the most significant highlights of the Land-Dweller collection is the elegant design of its cases, bracelets, and finishes, which pay homage to the classics. For example, it has a Flat Jubilee integrated bracelet that flows seamlessly into the redesigned Oyster case. This is a deliberate return to the integrated bracelet silhouette. It’s also available in 36mm and 40mm diameters.

Completing the look are the satin upper middle case and outer links with polished case edges and center links. This makes the case and bracelet look like one single sleek unit. It also boasts a redesigned fluted bezel and a concealed Crownclasp for extra refinement.
